• Hybrid role (4 days/week in office, 1 day remote)
• W-2 only. No Corp-to-Corp or 1099 arrangements. Successful candidate must be able to work on W-2 without visa sponsorship both now and in future.

Brooksource is searching for a Senior Oracle HCM Payroll Techno-Functional Consultant to join our Fortune 500 Telecommunications client in south Charlotte, NC. This consultant will serve as a key member of the Payroll Technology team, providing deep expertise across Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll, payroll operations, production support, reporting, payroll accounting, and system optimization.

This position requires a seasoned Oracle HCM Payroll professional who can function as both a technical and functional subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will not simply execute requirements but will provide strategic guidance, recommend best practices, identify system limitations, and help business stakeholders navigate complex Oracle HCM Payroll challenges.

As a senior resource, this individual will help troubleshoot payroll issues, support payroll processing and reporting, advise on Oracle HCM capabilities, and contribute to production support activities within a complex enterprise environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Serve as the Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll subject matter expert for the Payroll Technology team.
• Provide both technical and functional support for Oracle HCM Payroll-related issues and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot payroll processing, payroll accounting, reporting, and system-related issues.
• Analyze business requirements and provide recommendations based on Oracle HCM Payroll best practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to identify and implement effective payroll solutions.
• Advise leadership on Oracle HCM functionality, limitations, risks, and alternative approaches when necessary.
• Support payroll production operations and assist with issue resolution in a live production environment.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities and learn existing support processes from a retiring team member.
• Contribute to year-end payroll activities, including payroll close processes, year-end processing, and W-2 support.
• Support production support rotations and help ensure system stability and operational continuity.
• Act as a senior-level resource capable of providing mentorship, guidance, and expertise across the Oracle HCM Payroll landscape.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked through multiple payroll cycles and complex business scenarios.
• Deep understanding of payroll processing, payroll accounting, payroll reporting, and payroll operations.
• Experience serving as a techno-functional consultant, lead, architect, or senior Oracle HCM Payroll resource.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve both functional and technical payroll issues.
• Knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud/Fusion Payroll architecture, capabilities, and best practices.
• Experience supporting production environments and mission-critical payroll operations.
• Familiarity with year-end payroll activities, regulatory payroll requirements, and W-2 processing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions by providing expert recommendations and guidance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
• Proven ability to operate independently, solve problems, and serve as a trusted advisor within an Oracle HCM Payroll environment.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Candidates must be local to Charlotte and work in a hybrid environment.
• This position is intended to convert to a full-time employee after the initial 3-month contract period.
• Candidates should be comfortable supporting critical year-end payroll activities when business needs require.
